We’re thrilled to share an exclusive look into our newly acquired chemical facility in South Carolina and the creation of our new division, U.S. Medical Chemical Company (USMCC), a cornerstone of our commitment to securing America’s medical supply chain. Our latest video offers you a unique perspective on how the U.S. Medical Chemical Company is revolutionizing domestic PPE production.
With over 25 years of experience in the industry, the leaders at our chemical facility are at the forefront of medical exam glove manufacturing. See how we’ve seamlessly integrated cutting-edge technology with time-tested knowledge to create a robust, efficient production process.
[Dan Ley] U.S. manufacturing has gone downhill for the past several decades, and what you find is that you become reliant on overseas for everything.
What happens if there’s a war there or a natural disaster, and the supply chain disappears for a year?
Well, people still have to have gloves, and if you can’t get the materials to make them, then everybody’s in rough shape.
[Lorenzo Rothery] To me, it was crazy for all the companies to leave the United States anyway through the pandemic. You’ve seen what happened when we couldn’t get supplies, medical supplies.
[Greg Tysl] I’ve got a seasoned team here. I’ve got my guys that oversee engineering and operations that have been here with me for over 30 years.
I’ve got a workforce that on average has 10 years of experience here in running this chemical facility.
It takes about two to three years to actually learn the process and understand it. So having those guys back here is really critical and helps the process.
[Frank Wardlaw] So what’s special about our team here is it’s a family atmosphere, and because of that, we try to have some good family bonds. We try to look out for each other, that type of thing, but we also get the job done.
So it’s important to us to make sure that we’re meeting our goals as far as production and profitability.
[Lydia Wardlaw] Well, the team is very close-knit here. I’ve known the same group throughout my time. I think we work very well together. Everyone knows the ins and outs.
[Lorenzo Rothery] And with U.S. Medical coming in, bringing glove manufacturing back, we know we won’t have to have no problems with getting the gloves. So I’m really excited. I’m glad they came in when they did, and I’m looking forward to a bright future here.
